The highly anticipated SummerFloric 2023 in Dahican Beach, Mati City will be held this coming June 10-11, 2023 and the organizers release the official line-up of local and international artists who will be performing during the two-day event. 

Famous international acts such as Bonka, Marnik, Standerwick, and Sandro Silva while local artists includes Ron Poe, Patty Tiu, Jenil, Katsy Lee, Jet Boado, Parnassvs, DJ Young, Victor Jao, McBoo, Jams, and MJ Collarga.

The first international artist being announced by FrolicFox, the organizers of SummerFloric was none other than Australia’s most sought-after lord of mash-up, Bonka. 

Bonka is a duo made of Lachlan and Connor who is best known as exciting DJs and producers who worked with the likes of The Chainsmokers, Timmy Trumpet, Deorro, Tujamo, Tommy Trash, and TJR. 

Some of the chart-topping music from Bonka includes All Your Love, Braks On, Hello Techno, I Like It, Be Alive, Requiem, We Like Forever, Escape, and Bang Boom.

Marnik is an Italian progressive house due formed by Alessandro Martello and Emmanuele Longo. The duo made a name for themselves with their hit “Children of a Miracle,” a collaborative effort with Don Diablo and Galantis singer Reece Bullimore. 

The famous European duo, Marnik was responsible for some of the most popular tracks in the dance and music scene such as Bella Ciao alongside Steve Aoki and Hymn featuring Danko. 

The Italian phenomena have more than 2 million monthly listeners on Spotify, topping the dance charts worldwide with their “Bella Ciao” version with Japanese DJ Steve Aoki, being included as one of the soundtracks in the “Money Heists” documentary on Netflix.

The third international acts announced by SummerFrolic as part of their line-up is none other than Standerwick, the enigmatic music producer and DJ from the United Kingdom. 

Standerwick’s achievement inside the world of Dance Music in such a short space of time, is somewhat mysterious but according to his close associates, his decision to writing rock music to Electronic Dance Music was a decision well made. 

He made some remix for Armin Van Buuren, Markus Schulz, John O’Callaghan, amongst numerous others. Some of Standerwick’s most notable tracks include Saving Light with Gareth Emery, Apricus, Won’t Let You Go, and Never Before.

The last but certainly not the least in the official line-up of SummerFrolic 2023 is no other than Sandro Silva from The Netherlands, who established himself as one of the pioneers in modern electronic dance music. 

Sandro Silva discovered and embraced at a young age by the likes of Tiesto, David Guetta and Calvin Harris. 

During the year 2011, Sandro Silva made worldwide fame for his astronomical hit record Epic together with Quintino. 

He made a steady rise in the music industry for his collaboration with the likes of  W&W and 3 Are Legend, and remixed similar key players like David Guetta, Calvin Harris, Steve Aoki and Laidback Luke.

Aside from hist Epic song, he also collaborated with Quintino in another hit song titled “Aftermath.”

The viral video presented by Maya titled “Hope Presents Liza” already generated more than 3.6 million views in just two days after it was first released. 

Liza’s video appeared to have become a hot topic on social media, with thousands of netizens commenting their thoughts on it. ZikTalk Signs Custody Contract with KODA

One of the leading short-form video platform in Southeast Asia, ZikTalk signs a custody contract with virtual asset customization (trust) contrac with KODA in March 2023. The Web 3.0 short form video platform is also popular in the Philippines since it’s first launched online.

The Web 3.0-based short-form video platform ZikTalk announced on the 3rd of March that through the contract signed with KODA, ZikTalk Foundation will keep the ZikTalk Token in KODA’s “virtual consignment service” system. 

Based upon the contract KODA will keep the volume of ZIK Tokens and distribute them to the market according to the schedule planned by the ZikTalk Foundation in the white paper to provide stability and transparency of virtual assets. 

According to KODA’s official website which is in Korean language, KODA is a virtual asset consignment service company established by KB Kookmin Bank with blockchain technology Hatch Labs and blockchain investment company Hashed and provides one-stop digital asset consignment specialized services to corporations and institutions. 

The contract agreement between ZikTalk Foundation and KODA allows ZikTalk plans to manage virtual assets more safely and transparently by using KODA’s custodial services according to the appropriate standards required by certain financial information laws. 

“As ZikTalk aims for a growing Web 3.0 service with all participants who contributed to the platform’s growth, transparency and stability of digital assets held by the foundation are paramount,” a ZikTalk official said. “We plan to strengthen the brand’s trust by entrusting and managing ‘ZIK’, a digital asset, according to the disclosure schedule.”

Last September 2021 ZikTalk through their official Medium account announced that after months of development and testing, they launched ZikTalk 2.0, an improved version of their Ziktalk 1.0 app. ZikTalk 2.0 is a short-video platform that enables users to create and share the videos and earn while doing so. 

The new version is an upgrade to their previous app where everythign was based on image posts, chatting and calling while ZikTalk 2.0 is solely video-based. They believe that video-sharing is the future of social media and have been developing fun features for their users.

Nadine Lustre took a retrospective approach upon releasing her first-eve vlog, aptly tield “My Name is Nadine.”

The 29-year-old Nadine Lustre released a teaser video last January on her official YouTube channel, a month after she announced her YouTube Channel. 

Nadine Lustre’s first video blog or vlog titled “My Name is Nadine” is a nealy 10-minute video where she discussed her childhood and musical influences. 

According to some close friends of Nadine, majority of her vlog she edited herself alongside Chino Villagracia. The first vlog of the actress contains home video clips of the actress-singer in her youth, rarely cutting to the present day as she continued narrating. 

The “Diary ng Panget” star started her vlog that went viral with basic introductions, as she admitted to being a boyish child who loved biking to the sari-sari store and playing with her dad Ulysses or Dong’s Tamiya cars rather than her own dolls. 

Nadine Lustre, the former on-screen partner of James Reid, admitted on her vlog that during her younger days she’d played with her group of friends the usual boys dominated games such as patintero, hide-and-seek, tag, Chinese garter and Dr. Quack Quack. 

The singer-actress turned vlogger also revealed that she stopped playing with her friends becuase she started getting into computer games. 

The actress was quoted as saying “When you’re a kid, you’re just curious about everything,” said the actress, before talking about her vulnerabilities.

Nadine Lustre admitted on her vlog that some of her vulnerabilities includes being scared of ghosts, a prank on her dad on her, and a stuffed caterpillar named Cathy, which she still has to this very day.

House of Representatives Approves E-Governance Act on Final Reading

The Lower House of Congress, the House of Representatives approved on third and final reading, a bill institutionalizing the Philippine government’s shift to e-governance or electronic governance for faster, efficient and improved delivery of services to the general public.

According to House Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez, the principal author of House Bill (HB) No. 7327, titled “An Act institutionalizing the transition of the government to E-Governance in the digital age, creating for the purpose the Philippine Infostructure Management Corp. and appropriating funds therefor,” the measure aims to make government services accessible to the people.

The veteran lawmaker stated further stated that “The bill would make it easier for people to transact with and avail themselves of services from the government through digital platforms. It would make the delivery of services more effective, efficient, and transparent,” Romualdez said.

HB No. 7327 received a total of 304 yes votes and 4 negative votes. It is a consolidation of 21 related measures, including the first proposed E-Governance Law filed in the House, HB No. 3.

Speaker Romualdez stated further that among other objectives, “promote the use of the Internet, information and communications technology (ICT) and emerging technologies within and across government agencies to provide citizen-centric government information and services, and improve the public trust and citizen participation in the government.”

The proposed bill shall cover all executive, legislative, judicial, and constitutional offices, including local government units, state universities and colleges, government-owned or -controlled corporations, and similar state instrumentalities located in the country or abroad.

The e-governance bill would also encourage inter-agency collaboration in the delivery of basic services and in the use of Information Communication Technology to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of processes in both the local and national government.

Based upon the definition of the bill e-governance means that “application of ICT in establishing interaction between the different levels of government, business and the citizenry.”

“It also involves the implementation of internal government operations meant to simplify and improve both the democratic and business aspects of government,” the measure stated.

The e-governance bill once approved designates the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) as the principal implementer of the proposed law.

It tasks the DICT to formulate and promote an E-Government Master Plan that will serve as the blueprint for the development and enhancement of all electronic government services processes.

The bill will create the Philippine Infostructure Corp. to manage government ICT assets, including infrastructure, platform, and software. The corporation shall have an authorized capital of P5 billion.
